Wind Chill Calculator
Calculate the “feels like” temperature based on actual air temperature and wind speed
Calculate Wind Chill
Enter the current air temperature and wind speed to determine the wind chill temperature

Important Notice
This calculator is valid for air temperatures between -50°F and 50°F with wind speeds above 3 mph. Wind chill is not defined for temperatures above 50°F or wind speeds below 3 mph.
Feels Like Temperature
23.7°F
The wind makes it feel 8.3°F colder than the actual temperature
About Wind Chill
Wind chill is the perceived decrease in air temperature felt by the body on exposed skin due to the flow of air. The wind chill temperature is always lower than the air temperature.
How it works:
- Your body warms the air immediately around your skin
- Wind blows away this warm air and replaces it with cooler air
- Faster wind speeds remove heat from your body more quickly
- The wind chill temperature indicates how cold it feels on exposed skin
Formula used: Wind Chill (°F) = 35.74 + 0.6215T – 35.75(V0.16) + 0.4275T(V0.16)
where T = air temperature (°F), V = wind speed (mph)
